Empowering Women in the Digital Age

Swiss Embassy, “Empowering Women in the Digital Age – Women’s Rights on Social Media in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” presented by Tokat Economic Development and Vocational Training Association within the scope of the call for proposals for projects in the field of human rights for 2024. Women’s Rights in Media) project has been approved.

This project proposes a comprehensive training program aimed at empowering women with the knowledge and skills to navigate social media platforms and defend their rights in the context of artificial intelligence. With the increasing impact of AI on digital spaces, there is a critical need to equip women with the tools to understand, address and counter potential challenges related to discrimination, bias and harassment.

2. Purposes:

* Raising awareness among women about the intersection of women’s rights, social media and artificial intelligence.

* To improve women’s digital literacy skills by enabling them to use social media platforms safely and effectively.

* Provide practical strategies to identify and respond to gender-based discrimination and bias facilitated by AI algorithms.

* Creating a supportive community where women can share their experiences and insights about their online presence
